Even today, I often meet people who confuse Interior Design with Interior Decoration — but the two are quite different.

Interior design involves space planning, functionality, ergonomics, and integrating architecture with user behavior. It’s about solving problems through thoughtful layouts, materials, lighting, and technical details.

On the other hand, interior decoration focuses more on aesthetics — choosing colors, fabrics, furniture, and accessories to beautify a space.

Both are valuable, but they serve different purposes. As designers, we create the foundation before the decoration begins.”
